Ilyen.
Ilyen at one of Aija’s presentations on a teaching terrace near Vaelen. Ilyen attended every presentation Aija gave about Earth and life there, studying closely how humans live and how things are done on Earth.

When Aija begins giving presentations in Aurelya about Earth and life there, Ilyen attends every one of them. Later she listens just as closely to Sigrid when Aija and Sigrid give presentations together. Ilyen is interested in large cultural differences and small practical details alike: what Earth is like, how people live, and why things there are done in particular ways.
Ilyen does not leave what she learns as theory. She helps arrange first Aija’s accommodation and later the home shared by Aija and Sigrid so that someone from Earth has a genuine possibility of feeling at home there. She also pays attention to privacy in a way that would not otherwise be equally necessary in Aurelya.
Their home is given the possibility of withdrawing from the shared harmony when Aija and Sigrid are there alone. The option exists on their own terms, but in practice they make little use of it. Most of the time, they remain openly present within the shared harmony even at home.
For Ilyen, Earth therefore quickly changes from a distant world into a living culture. Her curiosity is not limited to what humans do; she wants to understand what their way of life feels like from within.
